Adrien Hagele, 2024 Intern at Auburn Municipal Airport
Adrien writes, "To be a part of meetings with the FAA, WAMA, AMPS and AAB were some of the most educational moments where I got to learn about issues airports face, behind the scenes of implementing changes and got to know and see the faces of others in the aviation community. In my role as an intern, I found myself working on projects like community engagement signs, Auburn Airport Day, updating chart supplements and even painting a compass rose with the local 99s chapter. These projects not only broadened my scope of aviation but also served as a reminder that I can do hard things. I learned that the best managers lead by example.... I learned how to do airfield checks and handle fuel.... I learned how to manage tasks while never wavering from giving tenants, visitors and the community the utmost customer service. Thank you WAMA for giving students an opportunity to learn from people in the industry and broaden our horizons." |
